Prepare all the necessary documents listed below before you deliver the application, otherwise the application might be refused. All documents must be presented in original and one copy. This includes notarized documents, insurance, hukou etc. Documents from countries that have ratified the Hague Convention, including Norway (see list under) must have an apostille stamp before you can submit the documents to us. Apostille means that, the original document is issued by competent authorities from a signatory state of the Hague Convention. Your necessary notarization and legalization are required to submit original and one photocopy. For documents that must be translated into English; the translation must state who translated the document, and the date the document was translated. All photocopies submitted should be in A4 format. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional information/documentation and, if deemed necessary, to interview the applicant. Presentation of the below-mentioned documents does not guarantee issuance of the visa. ADS Group Tourist Visa After returning to Mongolia, boarding pass and passport must be presented to the Embassy of Norway via the travel agency within 5days after the trip.

You must be sure that your application is properly filled in before it is sent to the UDI in Norway for processing. When you apply for family immigration you and the staff at Visa Application Centre must fill in a separate list of which documents that you have to send to the UDI with your applications. It is very important that you fill all relevant sections and sign the list. You have to this even if you have applied online with Application Portal. You must show original documents when you apply You must show your passport and all documents in their original form at the Foreign Service Mission or the police Bring your own certified and translated copies When the police or Foreign Service mission sends your application to the UDI, you only have to submit copies of the original documents. Bring your own copies when you submit the application. Documents in other languages than Norwegian, English, French, German and Spanish must be translated by an authorized translator to Norwegian or English, and it must be clearly stated who has performed the translation and when. All the translated pages must be stamped by the translator. Persons from countries with documents that need an Apostils stamp (Mongolia) Documents from countries that have ratified the Hague Convention, including Norway (see list under) must have an apostille stamp before you can submit the documents to us. Legalization means that the foreign authority in the issuing country by endorsement, has confirmed that the document is signed / issued by the competent authority. If you are planning to apply for a residence permit, all Mongolia certificates (birth certificates, marriage certificates, guardian relationship, permission to travel, death certificates, divorce certificates, certificates of single status, etc.) should be legalized by the Norwegian Embassy, all necessary documentation needs to be translated into English. Applicants applying for 9 months parental visit (short-term stay to visit children in the realm), only required the applicant’s birth certificate is notarized, the notarized birth certificate of the reference person (showing the relation with the applicant) in Norway must be legalized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Embassy. Your necessary notarization and legalization(s) are required to submit original and one photocopy. The documents must first be notarized at a Notarius Publicus office, and then legalized at the Consular Section at Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs or at the relevant Foreign Affairs Office,also need to be legalized at the Norwegian Embassy. Interview of the applicant For Minor from 5 to under 18 ages who apply for a long term residence permit needs to schedule an with the Norwegian Embassy and it will be scheduled a time when submitting their application at the visa centre. There is also a questionnaire that shall be filled in, regarding the applicants relationship with the sponsor. In some cases the Foreign Service mission/ the police will conduct an interview with the applicant/ sponsor.

Family or Friend Visit Visa According to article 20 of the Visa Code, all passports, except diplomatic and service/official passports, shall be stamped by the Embassy showing the date and place of submitting the visa application. However, this stamp has no legal implications. A visa issued by a Schengen country permits free movement within the Schengen area, unless otherwise stated on the visa sticker. However, please note that according to article 47 (i) of the Visa Code mere possession of a visa does not confer an automatic right to entry and that the holders of visa are requested to present proof that they fulfill the entry conditions at the external border, as provided for in Article 5 of the Schengen Borders Code.
