Airport Transit Visa (Type A)

Allows nationals of specified countries to transit through the international transit area of a Belgian airport without entering Schengen territory.

Required for nationals of approximately 25 countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and others. Fee EUR 90 (adults 12+), EUR 45 (children 6-12), free for children under 6, students, researchers, and certain young non-profit representatives. Holders of valid residence permits from UK, Canada, Japan, and USA are exempt. Diplomatic and service/official passport holders from many countries are also exempt.
