Landing Visa (Transit/Emergency)

For nationals of visa-exempt countries holding emergency or temporary passports who need to enter Taiwan.

Only for holders of emergency or temporary passports from visa-exempt countries (USA excluded). Fee: NT$1,600 (or gratis for reciprocal agreement countries) plus NT$800 handling fee (approximately US$24 additional). Stay non-extendable, begins day after arrival. Available at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (on-site BOCA office). Other airports (Songshan, Taichung, Kaohsiung) require temporary entry permit first. Cannot be converted to visitor or resident visa under normal circumstances.
