Applicants generally provide an acceptance/enrolment letter from a recognized institution, proof of sufficient funds, and evidence that course fees are paid. Nationals already eligible for visa-free entry (e.g. Commonwealth, CARICOM, US) may enter without a visa and regularize student status locally. Application fee EC$250 (approx US$93) for CARICOM nationals or EC$800 (approx US$295) for non-CARICOM nationals, paid at the Treasury. Valid for one year and renewable. A work permit automatically confers residency status if the term of employment exceeds six months. Requires two completed forms plus supporting documents: medical certificate (no communicable disease in past 3 years), employer letter stating job type and wages, police clearance, valid passport (6+ months), passport photos, and (for advertised posts) newspaper clippings advertising the position.
