Issued to foreign nationals travelling to Sudan for tourism or a short personal visit. The Sudan Embassy (Ottawa) issues this under two tiers: a Visit/Tourist visa for stays of one to seven days, and a Business/Tourism visa for stays of eight days up to three months.
Per the Embassy of Sudan (Ottawa) Entry Visa page: 'Visit/Tourist Visa - issued to persons going to Sudan for the purpose of transit, tourism or whose stay would be one (1) to seven (7) days'; 'Business/Tourism Visa - issued to persons going to Sudan for the purpose of tourism or business whose stay would be from eight (8) days to three (3) months.' Passport must be valid at least 6 months; processing takes at least three weeks; yellow fever and cholera vaccination recommended. No self-service e-visa portal exists for Sudan (evisa.gov.ss belongs to South Sudan). Fee not published on the Ottawa fee schedule online; the Washington D.C. mission charges a general $154 processing fee. All visitors must complete police registration within days of arrival. Tourism to Sudan is heavily disrupted by the civil conflict ongoing since April 2023.
