Requires a letter of visa support from a Belarusian healthcare institution or a contract for medical services with a Belarusian healthcare institution (also covers a foreign attendant accompanying the patient). For a private visit to family/relatives the visa support document is a document proving family ties or marital relations with a citizen of the Republic of Belarus (birth certificate, marriage certificate, or certificate of name change), or an invitation approved by the Citizenship and Migration Department. Long-term entry visa for foreign nationals approved for permanent residence in Belarus (e.g. family reunification, ethnic Belarusians, or approved investors) to enter and obtain their residence permit.
'Permanent residence' is an official Type D long-term visa purpose. The visa support document is a decision of the regional branch of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Grounds for permanent residence include family reunification with Belarusian citizens/residents, ethnic Belarusian origin, and investment (the residence-by-investment threshold is tracked separately under this country's RBI record).
