Czech passport holders can apply online for a Mali e-Visa before travel. Unlike an eTA, this is an actual visa — just issued digitally — so no embassy visit is needed for eligible short-term visits. Eligibility and covered purposes vary, so check the conditions below.

Visa applications and payments are processed fully online via the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. An entry permit is issued electronically once approved. There is no need to send documents to a Malian Embassy. Confirmed by the UK FCDO travel advice page (updated June 2026) which references the portal at diplomatiemmc.gouv.ml/vitrine/. The Mali Embassy in Washington DC also links to this portal for all visa applications. The MFA portal (diplomatiemdc.gouv.ml/vitrine/) was re-checked in June 2026 - it presents an interactive nationality checker ('Ai-je besoin d'un visa pour voyager au Mali?') with ordinary, diplomatic, special, refugee, and UN laissez-passer passport types. Mali Short-Stay Entry Visa (Tourism)

General short-stay entry visa for tourism, family visits, and leisure travel for foreign nationals holding ordinary passports who are not visa-exempt.

Separately, the Mali Embassy in Washington DC charges US citizens a flat USD 185 for a visa valid up to 5 years, multiple entry.
