Danish passport holders can get a visa on arrival for Madagascar (up to 90 days), so no visa is needed before travelling.

Visa on arrival available at international airports/ports for all nationalities except Burundian and Palestinian citizens, for stays up to 90 days. The February 2026 fee increase (15-day tier tripled from €10 to €30) was confirmed to apply exclusively to the eVisa system; VoA fees at airports/embassies/consulates were not confirmed to have changed as of June 2026. Pre-increase VoA fee tiers per the eVisa portal (may still apply on arrival): 1–15 days = €10/US$10; 16–30 days = €35/US$41; 31–60 days = €40/US$47; 61–90 days = €50/US$59. Diplomats and employees of certain international organizations are exempt from visa fees. Visa can be extended to a maximum total stay of 90 days while in Madagascar.
