Kosovo C Visa (Short-Stay Business Visa)Business

90 days

Allows foreign nationals to visit Kosovo for business meetings, negotiations, or short-term commercial activities. Falls under the general C visa (short-stay) framework.

Kosovo does not publish a separately named 'business visa'; business visitors from visa-required countries use the same C visa application process with business purpose documentation. Same 40 EUR fee applies. Applicants must provide documents indicating the business purpose of the journey.

Kosovo A Visa (Airport Transit Visa)Transit

multiple entryvalid 180d

Issued by Kosovo diplomatic/consular missions for air transit through the international transit area of a Kosovo airport, for nationals of countries for which the Government of Kosovo has set an airport-transit visa requirement by decision. Does not authorize entry onto Kosovo territory.

Confirmed by the official Ministry of Internal Affairs/Kosovo Border Police brochure 'Guidelines for Entry, Movement, Residence and Employment of Foreigners in the Republic of Kosovo' (Directorate for Migration and Foreigners): Kosovo diplomatic and consular missions issue a distinct air-transit visa (Type A), separate from the short-stay (C) and long-stay (D) entry visas. A multiple-entry Type A visa is granted for validity of up to six months, covering one, two or more airport transits; shorter single-journey versions matched to a specific transit are also issued. This letter/category was previously missing from the catalog (only C and D were recorded). No Type-A-specific fee is separately published by MFA; the 43 USD (40 EUR) figure is carried over from Kosovo's general short-stay consular visa fee schedule as a reasonable estimate, not a confirmed Type-A rate.

Official page โ†—
Kosovo B Visa (Territorial Transit Visa)Transit

multiple entryvalid 180d

Issued by Kosovo diplomatic/consular missions for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Legally distinct from the short-stay (C) entry visa; standard duration is set to match the time required for the transit journey, with a multiple-entry option available for travelers who transit repeatedly.

Correction: the official Ministry of Internal Affairs/Kosovo Border Police brochure 'Guidelines for Entry, Movement, Residence and Employment of Foreigners in the Republic of Kosovo' confirms Kosovo's diplomatic/consular missions issue four distinct visa letters: A (airport transit), B (territorial transit), C (short-stay, up to 90 days per 180-day period, multi-entry validity from 6 months to 5 years) and D (long-stay). General territorial transit is officially a B visa, not a variant of the C visa as previously recorded. A multiple-entry B visa is granted for validity of up to six months for one, two or more transits; single-journey B visas matched to the specific transit duration are also issued. Kosovo's public-facing consular/embassy pages (MFA, ambasadat.net) do not separately publish a Type-B fee schedule, so the general 40 EUR (approx. USD 43) short-stay visa application fee is carried over as an estimate rather than a confirmed B-visa-specific rate. Nationals holding a valid biometric Schengen residence permit or valid multi-entry Schengen visa may still transit without any Kosovo visa for up to 15 days. Laissez-Passer holders from UN, NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe and EU remain fully exempt from visa requirements.

Fee is 40 EUR (approx. 43 USD). Applications are lodged in person at Kosovo's Embassy in Tirana or Consulate General in Istanbul.
