Kenya Visa for French Citizens

eTA / e-permit

French passport holders need an approved eTA (electronic travel authorisation) before travelling to Kenya, but not a full visa.

All visitors to Kenya who are not exempt must apply for an eTA online before travel at https://etakenya.go.ke. Types and fees: Transit eTA $20; Standard eTA (single entry) $30; One Year Multi-Entry eTA $300; Five Year Multi-Entry eTA $185 (for US nationals only). Processing time capped at 72 hours (expedited option introduced 2025). Somalia and Libya are excluded from the African 60-day exemption bloc and must use the eTA. The eTA replaced prior visa-on-arrival and e-visa categories - there is no longer a separate visa-on-arrival or e-visa system.
