Republic of the Congo visa types

Family Reunion Visa / Spouse Residence (Regroupement Familial)Family

7-10d processing

Family members joining relatives resident in the Republic of the Congo, and foreign spouses of Congolese nationals.

For family reunification (regroupement familial), the official embassy (ambacongo-us.org) requires proof of family affiliation (birth certificate, adoption papers, or legal marriage certificate) submitted with the visa application; applicants then regularise status in-country. A foreign national married for at least 2 years to a Congolese national is automatically granted a resident's card (carte de séjour) per API-Congo (.cg). Resident's card fees: 1 year 106,000 FCFA (~USD 176), 3 years 206,000 FCFA (~USD 343), 5 years 106,000 FCFA (~USD 176), issued by the Direction Départementale de la Surveillance du Territoire.
