Visa de Transeúnte Laboral (TR-L)

For foreign nationals who have been offered employment in Venezuela and wish to enter the country to work for a Venezuelan employer.

Valid 1 year, multiple entries, with an equal permitted period of stay. Authorisation is issued by the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace with prior approval from the Ministry of Labour; the applicant or employer must file the request. Must be applied for at a Venezuelan embassy or consulate; consular fee must be confirmed at the relevant diplomatic mission.

Visa de Transeúnte Estudiante (TR-E)

For non-migrant foreign nationals entering Venezuela to pursue higher, technical or university education, specialization, or internships in their field at a recognized Venezuelan institution.

Valid 1 year, multiple entries, with an equal permitted period of stay. Extensions are requested from the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace at least two months in advance. For foreign nationals who make a productive investment in Venezuela, requiring at least 20% ownership in a registered Venezuelan company or equivalent capital contribution.
