- Applications form - Fully completed application form (via Norway Portal). The online filled application should be printed out, signed and dated by the applicant. Kindly note that it is not possible to modify the online application electronically after it is completed - If the applicant is under the age of 18, signed form ‘Letter of consent’ need to be attached including copies of parents/legal guardian passports - Checklist should be filled out. - Cover Letter Cover Letter must be printed from the Application Portal and signed by the applicant, it has the receipt number which serves as the applicant’s proof of payment - Passport in original - Validity minimum 90 days from the date of expiry of the requested visa - Signed by bearer - Passport not older than 10 years - At least two free opposite visa pages - Previous passport if applicable - One recent biometric passport sized photographs (3.4x4.5 cm) Requirements: - Should not be older than 6 months - A frontal view of the face covering 70-80% of the photo - A uniform and light-colored background(White background) - Clear facial features and eyes – not covered by hair or glasses frame - Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons Do not staple or glue the pictures to the application form - Photocopies - 1 passport copy of pages containing personal data - Copies of previous Schengen visa and used pages (if available Schengen visa stating VIS) - Copies of previous Passports (For the past 3 years) bio page and used pages with visa and stamps - Overseas medical insurance - Valid for the entire duration of the requested visa and for all Schengen countries - Minimum Coverage 30.000 € and repatriation (Medical Insurance of Credit cards are NOT accepted ) - Conditions must be stated either on insurance document or on separate confirmation letter - Travel Medical Insurance - Please click here to see the approved travel and medical insurance companies - Flight and hotel reservation - Valid (existing) hotel booking/reservation with full address (name, street, city, zip code, contact information, booking ref.) - Flight reservation or travel itinerary (Round trip) - Do not pay for /buy the ticket until a visa has been granted. - Note - Do not purchase a confirmed Hotel Voucher and a flight ticket until you have received your passport back from the Norwegian Embassy. - Note - If the Application is approved, the visa will be issued according to your round-trip airline ticket reservation - Letter from local employer/sponsor submit translation of postal address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details regarding applicant’s working position, starting date of employment and salary and timeframe of work leave (expected date to resume duties) purpose and duration of the trip (travel ) - Translation of the last three months salary slips If Self Employed - Corporation – Photocopies of SEC registration with attached present articles of incorporation and annual income - Single Proprietorship – Business name registration certificate Gazette, proof of membership of SSO and latest income tax statement - Original Bank Certificate of the Applicant in English . If the reference person will NOT be able to provide the UDI Guarantee form for visits, as a general rule, a person should have at least NOK 500/day - Proof of Visit Purpose - Original UDI Guarantee form for visit and photocopy stamped and signed by Norwegian Police. - Personalized original invitation letter of the host in Norway with full address giving details whether travel expenses of applicant (e.g. accommodation, meals travel costs) are covered and reflecting purpose of visit including travel itinerary ,If applicant covers own expenses, further documentation is required (e.g. bank statements etc.) - Photocopy of passport of the guarantor – If not a Nordic Citizen , submit a copy of residence permit - Photocopy of passport or residence permit of your family member – If he/she is not the guarantor - Translated birth certificate of the reference in Norway and copy of original – Proof of relation - Proof of visa fee online payment . INFORMATION FOR THE APPLICANT ON TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE VISA PROCESS - The processing time at the Norwegian embassy due to necessary legal requirements (VIS) usually takes up to 15 calendar days unless the case requires further scrutiny. Applicants are requested to refrain from status inquiries with the embassy during these 15 days. - Applicant Should come in person for submission of application and biometric data registration - Applicant must ensure that all mandatory requirements are met - Applicants must submit a certified translation into English or Norwegian of all required documents - Supporting documents should be submitted to strengthen the purpose of Application - It’s the applicant responsibility to ensure that all documents are submitted - Remove staple wired and paper clips from your document - Photocopy must be clear ,readable and no older than 6 months - All documents have to be translated by official translator - Bring all your original documents for checking - Only complete applications can be accepted; Non-submission of necessary documentation may lead to refusal of visa application. - The visa fee has to be paid on net after filling in the application via Norway Portal. - The Service fee has to be paid to VFS Global in cash upon submitting your application. - During the processing time the passport has to remain with the Norwegian Embassy. - False or falsified documents will lead to refusal of visa and /or further consequences. - The Norwegian Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents and/or call applicant for an interview.
