Processing time is a maximum of two working days. Passport must have minimum 6 months validity from intended date of departure from Bhutan. Valid travel insurance is mandatory. All tourists must book through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator and pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF).

Indian nationals receive an Entry Permit (not a visa) on arrival at port of entry or via advance online application at immi.gov.bt. Indian Voter Identity Card accepted in lieu of passport. OCI/PIO card holders do NOT qualify and must obtain a standard visa. No SDF applies to Indian nationals.
