Please prepare all the necessary documents listed in the relevant checklist before you deliver your application, otherwise the application might be refused. All documents must be presented in original. Original documents will be returned to the applicant after the application has been processed by UDI. The original documents from your home country must be legalized by the relevant authorities. You can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or equivalent in your home country to get information about how to get your documents legalized. No legalization of your passport is required. You must also bring copies of all the documents and your passport. If your documents are in a different language than Norwegian or English, they must be translated to Norwegian or English by an authorized/certified translator. It must be stated on the translation who translated the document and when. You must also hand in a copy of the translations. Please prepare all the necessary documents listed in the relevant checklist before you deliver your application, otherwise the application might be refused. All documents must be presented in original but will be returned to you when the case has been processed. For documents that must be translated into English, the translation must state who translated the document, and the date the document was translated. All documents should be submitted in A4 format, and no documents should be stapled together. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional information/documentation and, if deemed necessary, to interview the applicant. Kindly be informed that presentation of the documents in the relevant checklist does not guarantee issuance of a visa. Please choose the correct checklist according to the purpose of your trip, print it out, and sign it, and make sure that you have all the necessary documents before submitting your application at the VFS Global Application Centre. Note: Kindly note that you must have sufficient funds to cover your journey to, and stay in Norway. If you are without funds you can be stopped at the border, even if you have obtained a visa.
