Student / Education Visa (O-Visa)

For foreign nationals admitted to an educational institution in Tajikistan for the purpose of study.

Classified as category O (sub-types O1 for enrolled students/exchange/degree study and O2 for research, language and specialised graduate courses). Requires visa support letter from the educational institution in Tajikistan. Applied through the official MFA standard-visa system at visa.gov.tj and collected at a Tajik embassy or consulate. Private Visit / Family Visa (XC1)

For foreign nationals visiting family members or friends residing in Tajikistan.

Classified as category ХС1 (XC1); also covers travel for medical treatment and personal purposes such as attending festivals, funerals and ceremonies (a separate XC2 sub-type exists for former Tajik citizens and close relatives of Tajik nationals). Standard (sticker) visa, category 'С' (C) in the MFA visa classification.
