Fee varies by application location: US$25 (USA), CD$25 (Canada), £30 (UK), US$40 (rest of world or applied in Saint Lucia). EC$125 if applied within Saint Lucia. Expedited 1-day processing available for additional fee. Apply at least 2 weeks before travel. Required documents: 2 certified passport-size photographs, valid passport (min. 6-month validity), proof of enrollment or acceptance letter from Saint Lucia educational institution, accommodation proof.

Don't Just Visit, Live It - Remote Work / Digital Nomad Visa

Permits remote workers, freelancers, and students in remote learning programs to live and work from Saint Lucia for up to one year, provided their employer or clients are based outside Saint Lucia.

Launched March 2021. Routed through the standard Non-Immigrant Visa (Multiple Entry, EC$190 / approx. US$70). No minimum income requirement stated on official source. No local income tax on foreign-sourced income. All nationalities eligible (visa-required nationals must apply; visa-exempt nationals may enter without a visa). No dedicated *.govt.lc landing page found under the 'Don't Just Visit, Live It' branding; the program is referenced in government press releases but applications are processed through the standard immigration channel at visaoffice@police.govt.lc. Administered by Royal Saint Lucia Police Force Immigration Department.

Work Permit (Annual Employment)

Authorizes foreign nationals to engage in employment or paid work within Saint Lucia for each desired year of employment. Required for any non-CARICOM/OECS national seeking to work in the country.

Ministry of Legal Affairs, Home Affairs and Labour (Work Permit Officer; the Minister for Labour grants final approval). Annual fees per Statutory Rules & Orders No. 73 of 1997, charged for each year of employment by nationality: Caribbean Commonwealth nationals EC$2,000/yr (approx. US$741); other Commonwealth nationals EC$4,000/yr (approx. US$1,481); other foreign nationals EC$5,000/yr (approx. US$1,852 - the fee_usd shown). A separate non-refundable EC$100 (approx. US$37) application fee is paid to the Treasury before the application form is issued. Renewed annually until the holder becomes a citizen; persons who hold residential status are NOT exempt and must still obtain a work permit. Submit to the Work Permit Officer at least two months before the intended start date; do not begin work while the application is pending. Additional statutory fee tiers: EC$400 for a period not exceeding one month, EC$200 per 12-month period for unskilled workers, EC$300 per entry for commercial sales personnel/professionals. Diplomatic / Official Passport Visa Exemption

Holders of diplomatic, official, or service passports from all countries are exempt from Saint Lucia visa requirements and visa fees, regardless of the traveler's nationality.

The official visa fee table lists 'Exempt' for both 'Diplomatic Passports' and 'Official/Service Passports' at all places of issue (UK, USA, Canada, rest of world, Saint Lucia). The DEA Visa Requirements by Country document confirms this with per-country entries (e.g., Armenia, Azerbaijan, Haiti, Moldova, Ukraine show 'YES(pta) NO(DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL)' - meaning ordinary passport requires visa but diplomatic/official passport does not). Cruise ship passengers visiting for one day are also exempt from visa requirements.

Short-Term Work Permit (up to one month)

Authorizes a foreign national to work in Saint Lucia for a single period not exceeding one month - suited to short assignments, performers, technicians, and temporary engagements.

Statutory Rules & Orders No. 73 of 1997 sets a work permit fee of EC$400 (approx. US$148) for a person of any nationality for a period not exceeding one month for which the permit is valid. A separate non-refundable EC$100 (approx. US$37) application fee is paid to the Treasury before the application form is issued.
