Ethiopian Government Institutions Short Task Visa (GIV)

For foreign nationals entering Ethiopia to carry out short-term tasks for Ethiopian government institutions.

This is the e-visa entry visa, distinct from the ICS in-country NGO work permit. Processing time 3 business days.

Student Visa (SV)

For foreign nationals entering Ethiopia temporarily to undertake a course of study in the country.

Single entry, 30-day. Cannot be extended. This is the online e-visa student visa issued via evisa.gov.et (distinct from the ICS student-visa application service). Passport must be valid 6+ months from the intended entry date.

Religion Visa (RV)

For foreign nationals entering Ethiopia to take part in religious activities on invitation from a religious entity.

Medical Treatment Visa (MDV)
