If you have not purchased, please click here (visa.vfsglobal.com ↗) The checklists of required visa application documents are available in the online visa application portal of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (finlandvisa.fi ↗) Proof of legal stay for third country citizens Effective immediately (DATE), the Embassy of Finland in Doha requires that visa applicants who are not passport holders of Qatar or Iraq must present proof of their legal residence at the time of submitting their visa application. - Applicants residing in Qatar must present their original Qatar ID (QID). - Applicants residing in Iraq must present their original residency card/residence permit. At the time of submission, VFS Global will make a copy of the proof of legal stay, which will be included with the visa application. Please note that applications will not be accepted without the original proof of legal stay. The Embassy further reminds applicants of the validity requirements for the proof of legal stay in Qatar or Iraq: - The residence permit must be valid for at least six (6) months prior to the visa application submission date. - It must also remain valid for at least three (3) months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen area. Failure to meet these validity requirements may have a negative impact on the visa decision.
