🇸🇹São Tomé and Príncipe Visa for Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizens2026 Requirements, Fees & Documents
Saint Kitts and Nevis passport holders can apply online for a São Tomé and Príncipe e-Visa before travel. Unlike an eTA, this is an actual visa — just issued digitally — so no embassy visit is needed for eligible short-term visits. Eligibility and covered purposes vary, so check the conditions below.
An e-Visa (Autorização de Entrada) can be applied for online via the official SMF e-Visa portal (smf.st/evisa). Processing time is up to 7 working days. Payment is made at the border upon arrival. Requires: scanned passport (PDF), reservation details, return ticket, and proof of means of subsistence (100 EUR/day). Applies under Decreto Lei 11/2009 and Lei 5/2008. Nationalities that already qualify for visa-free entry or visa on arrival may still use the e-Visa as an alternative route.

Processing is 7 business days (7 dias úteis). Payment is collected at the border upon arrival, not during the online application. Minors additionally require birth certificate and guardian declarations. No information changes allowed after submission. Legal basis: Decreto Lei 11/2009 and Lei 5/2008. The e-visa Autorização de Entrada implements the statutory Visto Temporário (Art. 32.º, Lei 5/2008): validity up to 180 days, one or more entries, uninterrupted stay not exceeding 3 months (90 days); must be used within 90 days of grant; profit-making activity is not permitted on this visa. The official portal does not differentiate tourist from other short-stay purposes - a single e-visa entry authorization covers all short-stay purposes.

The SMF e-visa portal (smf.st/evisa) uses a single entry authorization form for all short-stay purposes. No separate business visa category is listed officially; business travelers use the same Autorização de Entrada, which implements the statutory Visto Temporário (Art. 32.º, Lei 5/2008): validity up to 180 days, uninterrupted stay up to 3 months (90 days). Suitable for business meetings and commercial visits only - paid/lucrative employment requires a residence visa for professional activity (Art. 35.º/36.º). Payment at border. Same documentation requirements as tourist entry authorization.
