Work permit for highly skilled foreign professionals with rare or in-demand expertise, issued to employers where no qualified Jordanian job seeker is available.
Ministry of Labour category distinct from the general work visa/permit. Per the 2024 Principles, issued for 1 year (fee 2,150 JOD, ~3,032 USD), 6 months (1,250 JOD), or 3 months (645 JOD), plus a 50 JOD TVSDC levy and stamp duty. Employer applies (paper or electronic); worker must pass a medical exam. Holder may not transfer to professions outside the specialized-skills list. Sector percentage quotas do not apply to this category.
