For foreign nationals making qualifying investments in Iran, enabling residency through the 5-year renewable investor residence permit.
Minimum qualifying investment approximately USD 90,000 (reduced from EUR 250,000 in April 2022). Eligible investment forms: long-term bank deposits in Iranian banks, investment bonds and securities, housing/real estate. Administered by the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETA). Provides 5-year renewable residency only - not a path to citizenship. Iran does not permit dual citizenship.
