All foreign nationals not falling under visa-free or visa-on-arrival categories must obtain an e-visa/e-permit prior to entry into Bhutan. Applications are processed through the tourist online visa/permit system at immi.gov.bt. Processing time is a maximum of two working days. Passport must have minimum 6 months validity from intended date of departure from Bhutan. Valid travel insurance is mandatory.
