Nigeria offers an e-Visa for short visits via evisa.immigration.gov.ng. The NIS visa classes page states 'Short Visit Visas allow travelers to visit Nigeria for a period not exceeding three months (90 days)'. Individual sub-categories have specific durations: Tourism Visa (F5A) – single entry, 30-day stay, valid 90 days from issuance, not extendable; Business Single Entry (F4A) – 30 days; Business Multiple Entry (F4B) – up to 30 days per visit; Visiting Single Entry (F6A) – 30 days; Transit Visa (F3B) – 1 to 7 days; Sports (F7E), Creative Arts (F7F), Study Tour (F7G), Academic Exchange Programme (F7H), International Cultural Exchange (F7I), Emergency/Relief Work (F7K), and others. The maximum ceiling across all short-stay e-visa categories is 90 days; most specific tourism/business categories are capped at 30 days per visit. All short-stay e-Visa categories are non-extendable. Nigeria phased out Visa-on-Arrival effective 1 May 2025; all short-stay applications must now be submitted via the e-Visa portal or Nigerian embassy/consulate.
