• valid travel document - the validity period of the travel document in which the visa is entered must be at least three months longer than the validity period of the visa

• proof that the applicant is a member of the immediate family of a Montenegrin citizen or a foreigner who has been granted permanent or temporary residence in Montenegro
• a guarantee letter from the Montenegrin citizen or foreigner whose immediate family member the applicant is, or other proof that this Montenegrin citizen or foreigner will cover the costs of the applicant's stay in Montenegro, including accommodation and living expenses, as well as the costs of leaving Montenegro.

• Proof of the purpose of stay in Montenegro (a letter of guarantee or invitation from a natural or legal person, or other evidence that the natural or legal person will bear the costs of his stay in Montenegro, including the costs of accommodation and subsistence, as well as the costs of leaving Montenegro, namely: a concluded real estate lease agreement or a certificate of provided or reserved accommodation, a bank account statement showing that the foreigner has sufficient funds for the costs of accommodation, subsistence and leaving Montenegro, an employment contract or other type of certificate of work engagement and personal income that the foreigner will earn during his stay in Montenegro),
• Proof of payment of the consular fee,
• Other supporting documents on the basis of which the justification of the visa application can be assessed.
• Optionally, proof that the person has not been convicted of any criminal offense in the country of origin or the country where he/she resided for more than a year before arriving in Montenegro can be attached (this document is mandatory when submitting an application for a work and residence permit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the regional unit of the Police Administration in the city where the stay in Montenegro is planned).

• proof of the purpose of stay in Montenegro (employment contract or other document proving that the person performs work through communication technology for a foreign employer or his/her own company which is not registered in Montenegro
• a certified copy of the registration of the company the applicant works for, or his/her own company issued by the competent authority of the foreign country in which the company is registered,
• proof that the consular fee has been charged.
• financial documents showing that the applicant have sufficient funds available during his/her stay in Montenegro, as well as for return to the home country or for traveling to a third country (monthly income (if this information is not indicated in the employment contract), cash, check’s, bank statements etc.);
• proof of ensured accommodation.
• proof that you have not been convicted of criminal offences from your home country or a country in which you have resided for more than one year before arriving in Montenegro (this document will be required when applying for work and resident permit at the Ministry of Interior -Police Department of the city where you plan to stay in Montenegro).

The applicant can also submit other supporting documents on the basis of which the justification of the visa application can be assessed:

NOTE: Visa application shall be submitted on the form prescribed by Article 7 of the Regulation on Visas and visa forms (“Official Gazette of Montenegro”, No. 122/20).

• Proof of possession of means of support (certificate or other proof of bank account balance or other appropriate confirmation of possession of means or regular income, as well as cash, traveller's cheque, credit cards, etc. A foreigner is considered to have means of support if he or she has financial means in the amount of at least 50.00 euros for each day of the requested stay).
• Proof of health insurance,
• Proof of payment of consular fee (ICR issued by VFS).
• The applicant may also submit other evidence on the basis of which the justification of the visa application can be assessed:
• Proof of secured accommodation (certificate of paid tourist arrangement, hotel or other accommodation reservation),
• Proof of means of travel or intention to return to the country from which he comes or to a third country (return ticket, traffic and driving license).

• Manually issued visa.

For the purpose of performing service in foreign diplomatic and consular missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Montenegro:

the applicant; number, type and date of expiry of the foreign travel document; the position she/he will perform in that representative office; the name and surname of the person who previously covered that position; the name and surname of a member of the foreigner's close family, indicating the relationship; the number, type and date of expiry of the foreign travel document of a member of the immediate family; approximate date of arrival and assumption of position, and the duration of the mandate).
