Airport Transit Visa (Type A)

Allows transit through the international transit area of a Montenegrin airport without entering Montenegrin territory. Required for certain nationalities changing flights at Podgorica airport.

Issued for one or several entries. Validity up to 3 months. Holder does not enter Montenegrin territory; stays within airport international transit zone. Processing time is 10 days from submission, extendable to 30-60 days in complex cases.

Allows transit through Montenegrin territory when travelling to a third destination country. Intended for travellers passing through Montenegro en route to another country.

Issued for one, two, or exceptionally multiple entries. Validity up to 6 months. Stay per journey up to 5 days. Applicant must hold confirmed entry authorisation to destination country. Can be issued as a collective (group) visa. Processing time 10 days, extendable to 30-60 days.
