- Click here for the Checklist (PDF checklist ↗) The applicant shall ensure that prior to applying for an appointment on the online appointment portal for D-Visa Processing through the Extended Service, a valid Approval in Principle (AIP) letter issued by Identity Malta Agency is in hand. The said AIP shall remain valid until the date of the appointment booking and shall be presented at the Visa Application Centre (VAC) offered by VFS. Any AIP letters which are deemed to have expired on the date of appointment shall not be accepted and as such it will not be possible for the applicant to proceed with the booked appointment.
