Citizens of most countries are eligible for visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), Pokhara International Airport, and Gautam Buddha International Airport (Bhairahawa/Lumbini), as well as other designated land border entry points. Options: 15 days (US$30), 30 days (US$50), 90 days (US$125). Multiple-entry. Maximum stay per calendar year is 150 days. Nationals of the following countries are NOT eligible for visa on arrival and must obtain a visa from a Nepalese diplomatic mission in advance: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini (Swaziland), Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iran (added March 13, 2026 per Ministry of Home Affairs decision). Refugees holding travel documents are also excluded. Official/diplomatic passport holders of restricted-country nationals retain access.
